Suomen Satamaseurakunnat

Satamaseurakunta (‘Port Church’) was founded in June 2008. In our church, there are people of all ages and situations – young and old, families and singles. We strive to make it as easy as possible to invite friends interested in the Christian faith to our church.

The main weekly event of our congregation in Jyväskylä and Turku is Sataman ilta, that is, Satama Evening, a Sunday service consisting, among other things, of worship and music, practical teaching, and conversation at the coffee table.

Mission

We have summarized the mission of our church, the purpose of our existence, as follows: “Our mission is to help people know God and his grace, grow into committed followers of Christ, and serve others.”

We dream of a community where we are excited about God, follow Jesus, grow and enjoy our time together, and invite others to Christ.

Satamaseurakunta is a network of churches that operate in different locations and share the same vision to act as ambassadors of Christ in modern daily life, building and being built as His own.
